step one: remove head

step two: place on ground.
step three: kick!

sometimes, i just want away from my head, out of my thoughts!

neither cigarettes nor booze nor reefer: i consider a dictionary, think of the lull of a good explanation of french grammar, imagine, even, slinking into the pages of a french language book, letting my english language brain slip away as i listen for the sounds of reading french… how they float my brain, slosh against its sides, take me to an estuary, and let me go deep, let me go far, lose sight of land, slipping, ever, in and out of total comprehension, of fluid understanding, and in a way that is lackadaisical and blessedly inarticulate. just slosh. slosh. lsosh. shlos. oslhs. holssh…
